Pair of England stars name Arsenal-linked Ben White as player to have surprised most with Three Lions

Transfer-linked Brighton & Hove Albion defender Ben White has today been showered in praise by a pair of England teammates.
Future Gunner?
The name of gifted stopper White has of course taken centre stage in the media over the last couple of weeks.
This comes amid mounting interest in the 23-year-old on the part of Premier League giants Arsenal.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta has seemingly identified White as the ideal addition to his at-times shaky backline in North London, with some reports having gone as far as to suggest that the Seagulls star is viewed as a potential future captain at the Emirates.
In turn, a big-money agreement between Arsenal and Brighton has been widely touted, with the board on the red half of the capital seemingly ready to part with as much as £50 million to secure White’s services.
🚨 Arsenal moving closer to agreement with Brighton for Ben White. #BHAFC want guaranteed ~£50m, #AFC offering ~£45m + £5m. Face-to-face talks have taken place & negotiations continue over add-ons, payment structure etc. No other bidders yet @TheAthleticUK https://t.co/x9fJEUSMZ3

Saka impressed
Despite his immense talent and room for growth, though, plenty of an Arsenal persuasion have already made crystal clear their concerns regarding a swoop for White.
The main issue highlighted comes in the form of the sizable fee, with many of the opinion that such funds would be better utilised in reinforcing other areas of Mikel Arteta’s squad.

But, as outlined above, if the latest comments on the part of a pair of White’s international teammates are anything to go by, then such doubters may be well served in reconsidering their collective stance.
Speaking in an interview with ITV ahead of England’s upcoming showdown with Germany, Phil Foden and Bukayo Saka were drawn on the subject of the player to have surprised them most during their time with the Three Lions this summer.
And both – the latter a potential future teammate of the stopper at the Emirates – went on to single the aforementioned White out for special praise:
Who has impressed @BukayoSaka87 & @PhilFoden the most in the @England camp? 🤔
