England are potentially just 90 minutes away from their first trip to the final of a European Championships. To get there, they’ll have to get through Denmark.

The Three Lions are feeling good right now, having sent Germany packing and allowed the momentum to keep building with a 4-0 thumping of Ukraine in the quarter-final, so they will be optimistic about getting the job done.

Here’s how they could line up.

Jordan Pickford (GK) – Five clean sheets in a row for Pickford, who can set the record for most clean sheets at a Euros tournament with just one more.

Kyle Walker (RB) – Probably wasn’t the best against Ukraine but brings the kind of big-game experience needed here.

Harry Maguire (CB) – Maguire’s yellow card tally has been reset now so he doesn’t have to worry about suspension anymore.

John Stones (CB) – The first defender in England history to keep five clean sheets at a major tournament, Stones deserves so much credit for his outstanding season.

Luke Shaw (LB) – Shaw put on a masterclass against Ukraine and was one of England’s best at both ends of the field. He’s one of the first names on the team sheet.

Declan Rice (DM) – Having avoided his own suspension for this one, Rice will take his rightful place at the base of Southgate’s midfield.

Kalvin Phillips (DM) – Still riding the wave of his outstanding opening performance against Croatia, Phillips looks right at home as a regular starter.

Bukayo Saka (RM) – The Arsenal man is back available after shaking off the knock that sidelined him against Ukraine, and his defensive work rate could see him given the nod over Jadon Sancho.

Mason Mount (AM) – Mount brought back his signature high-tempo pressing against Ukraine and England looked better because of that. He has to start.

Raheem Sterling (LM) – The star of England’s tournament so far, Sterling has been in obscene form all summer and doesn’t look like slowing down just yet.

Harry Kane (ST) – Hopefully Kane’s tournament has started now. He has three goals from his last two games and will hope to make up for lost time here.
