Tottenham and Leeds have moved for a Georgia star amid further interest from Serie A, while Liverpool are quoted a new fee for a winger target – both in all the latest Euro Paper Talk.

Rubin Kazan winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is a summer transfer target for both Tottenham and Leeds United, according to a report.

The 21-year-old Georgia international rose through the ranks of Dinamo Tbilisi in his home country before his move to Russia. And while he initially signed for Lokomotiv Moscow, Kvaratskhelia moved to Kazan in 2019 after a loan spell there.

Overall, he has scored nine goals and assisted 18 others in 73 appearances for Rubin Kazan.

Those contributions have come in shorts bursts of form, but Kvaratskhelia has failed to prove his consistency.

Nevertheless, Gazzetta dello Sport reports that he has done enough to catch the eye of Tottenham and Leeds.

The Premier League pair have ‘already’ moved for the player, following West Ham interest in 2021, as they look to snap the 12-cap international up.

Indeed, Kazan are willing to sell Kvaratskhelia for €15million (£12million) and feel a move is ‘guaranteed’ this summer. However, Serie A duo Napoli and AC Milan are also after the winger.

In any case, Gazzetta dello Sport carries recent quotes from Kazan coach Leonid Slutsky, who said of the player: “A great team from the major European leagues is worth it.”

Kvaratskhelia helped his side to 10th in the Russian top flight in his debut season, before Kazan finished fourth last term. His contract runs out in 2024.

As well as his domestic contributions, Kvaratskhelia is a leading light for his country. He began with 15 goals in 20 Georgia Under-17s games and is now a senior international after rising through the ranks.
