Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly learnt the demands of Tottenham boss Antonio Conte, which could see him switch to the French side.

Tottenham are having a better season this term than they have for the last couple. Indeed, they finished sixth and then seventh for the past two years.

Initially, Conte’s tenure looked to be the latest in a line of failed managerial appointments at Spurs. However, he has started to get his players firing.

Tottenham are well within the fight for a top-four finish. They are currently in fifth-place, two points behind rivals Arsenal, who occupy fourth spot.

A lot of Tottenham’s good form this season can be attributed to Conte’s impact and recruitment. However, recent reports stated that the Italian was eager over a move to PSG.

There have been further developments in that situation recently. The Mirror reports that Conte has set out demands which could see him swap London for Paris.

Conte will reportedly request almost double his current salary. Reports state he makes €17million (£14million) a year at Tottenham.

He will look to make €30million if he is to take charge at PSG. That would make him one of Europe’s highest-paid managers, along with Diego Simeone.

Conte also wants to work with sporting director Gianluca Petrachi.

As well as that, he reportedly has ideas for the squad, in terms of both inbound and outbound transfers.

Conte and Pochettino could swap places

Should Conte make the move to PSG, that would mean that current manager Mauricio Pochettino was out of a job. Indeed, that would seem strange considering he has already won his first Ligue 1 title with four games to go.

However, there is speculation that Pochettino could be sacked by the French giants.

The report states that Conte and Pochettino could swap places. Spurs chairman Daniel Levy would reportedly not be against letting Conte go and having Pochettino return.

Of course, he was in charge at Spurs for more than five years, and led them to their highest Premier League finish, when they came second in 2016/17.

Recent reports stated that Levy has been in contact with Pochettino over a return to the club. As such, should Spurs lose Conte, they could remain in safe hands.
